Diet Update: I Finally Joined a Gym

Back in December, when I started NutriSystem, I blogged every week about my experience, and every week I said that I was going to start exercising. Here we are, June first, and I may not be doing NutriSystem anymore, but I finally joined a gym!

You may be able to tell from this photo that I gained back about two of the pounds I had lost on Nutrisystem.

But whatever, I’ll lose it again. I still have a goal of getting down to 130 pounds. I learned today that I have about 41 pounds of fat on my body. Yikes!

The gym I chose is called Fit Tribe, and the trainers there are awesome. I signed up to do strength training and will supplement with walking whenever I can. And I’ll try to eat healthy and use what I learned from NutriSystem on that front.

Funny story: When they told me the name of the trainer who would talk to me about membership options, in my mind I went, “Hey, I had a trainer with that name many years ago when I did an Adventure Boot Camp.” Then when I saw him, he looked pretty familiar. So I asked him about it, and sure enough, it was the same person.

And he remembered me. Here’s why:

I’m the person on the far right (under my finger), and I’m vomiting. This is why he remembered me from a 2-week bootcamp at least 14 years ago.

I will keep you posted on my strength training journey, and if I have another nauseous moment, I’ll make sure they get a picture.
