Week 11 Diet Update

My stomach doth protest

This Unsplash image by David Griffiths explains everything.

Starting weight: 167
Current weight: 152 (Last week’s check-in weight was 153.7.) Holy moly, 15 pounds down!
Goal weight: 130

Exercise: My best day for steps was Friday, with 9,638. I didn’t do anything special — it was just a busy day. My best day for zone minutes* was Tuesday, with 25 zone minutes — not sure why. Overall, during the work week, I took about 1,000 steps more than the weekdays last week. This week is going to be a challenge, because it’s spring break, and the temptation to sit around all day will be great.

*Zone minutes are (according to Fitbit) the number of minutes I’m actively within my personal fat-burning, cardio, or peak exercise heart rate zones.

The Food: I haven’t been good about logging all of my food this week, but I have a more pressing topic to talk about, and that’s gas. Okay, if you are on Nutrisystem, please tell me I’m not alone. A person generally passes gas up to 20 times per day, and that’s normal. What they don’t tell you is that a person on a diet like Nutrisystem very well may double that. My husband would say it’s like 50 times a day. I’m not worried or anything. I mean, it’s not affecting my quality of life (okay, maybe it’s affecting my husband’s quality of life?). *Goes to search for Beano on Amazon.

Farting Parting Words: In other news, if I may toot my own horn, I have completed the first draft of the sequel to Sitting on Top of the World, and here’s another thing that will keep me from exercising this week — I have a lot of revisions to do. I’d better step on the gas and get it done.
