A Diet Milestone

I’ve made it down to the “before” weight I was the last time I thought I was too fat.

This Unsplash image is an actual photo of me feeling super thin now that I’m under 150.

Starting weight: 167
Current weight: 149.2 (Last week’s check-in weight was 151.3) — almost halfway to my goal!
Goal weight: 130

Reflection : It’s funny how when we’re young and premenopausal we think we weigh sooo much, and then once we gain all that menopause weight, our old fat clothes are our new skinny clothes. I’m ecstatic to be able to fit into my old fat clothes again! The question is, will I ever fit into my old skinny clothes? We shall see. I wonder if I’ll need excess skin removal surgery. Hmm…

Food: I am still enjoying the Nutrisystem food, and I’ve discovered some new ones, like the BBQ Chicken Burrito, that are quite tasty. I like that they add new dishes from time to time. I would like to see more breakfast options, though.

Parting Words: The NuMi app (food and exercise tracking app used with Nutrisystem) alerted me last week that I may be at a plateau in my weight loss. I knew I wasn’t — the lack of progress was my own fault. I wasn’t exercising and I was cheating on my diet a lot. I also know that for me, there’s a pattern: a couple weeks of hardly any weight loss, and then boom two pounds down. I just need to keep the faith and keep at it.
