Week 12 Diet Update
Spring break = breaking all the rules.
Starting weight: 167
Current weight: 152.2 (Last week’s check-in weight was 152)
Goal weight: 130
Disclaimer: Okay, so this week was spring break, and as such, I expected to stray from my diet a bit. What I didn’t expect was for everything to go wrong at once: We discovered a leak from the shower into my closet and had to rip up the carpet and open up a wall. All of my clothes are now displaced. The ceiling over the dining room began dripping, and we had to check the roof for hail damage (and when I say “we,” I mean my husband) and have the insurance company come out. Our drier decided to stop working, and we had to get a new one. We had to deal with taxes, which is never fun. And I got an official jury summons in the mail. With all that going on, I did some stress eating and allowed myself some treats, as is evidenced by this week’s weigh-in.
Exercise: One good thing about this week is that I got some exercise through walks with my mom. Even still, my steps and zone minutes for this week aren’t anything worth publicizing. And aside from the walking and moving everything out of my closet and cleaning, I’ve been doing a lot of unwinding (but not like in Neal Shusterman’s Unwind).
Food: Holy moly, I’ve discovered a new favorite Nutrisystem meal: Mushroom Bolognese with Spaghetti. It tastes like cheating, and I’ve done enough cheating this week. And, y’all, that chocolate cheesecake is still my favorite dessert ever. Some things I allowed myself this week: Jack in the Box burger and curly fries (I know, I know, this is horrible), a fru-fru frappe (with whipped cream) from my favorite coffee place, a giant blueberry muffin, some Irish whiskey cake, and quesadillas. So now you see what happened. But next week I will definitely get back on track.
Parting Words:
Me, after gaining two-tenths of a pound: If you mess up, don’t worry! You’ll get back on track.
Also me: Oh no, what if I’ve reached a plateau? What if I never lose another pound? I’m doomed!
